Dynamix Professional Video Systems Inc. was founded in the winter of 1987. At that time we charted a course that would offer the Professional and Broadcast Video Marketplace the best possible service and support available in the industry. To this day, we continue to maintain that same key business philosophy. Our very first supplier and valued partner was Sony of Canada. For over 20 years we have maintained an extremely close professional relationship with Sony, one of the most highly respected and well regarded manufacturers in the video industry.

In 1987, DYNAMIX started in a small 2000 square foot building located in Scarborough, Ontario, and by 1990 we relocated to our present facility in Richmond Hill, just north of Toronto.  This brand new 14000 square foot facility would ultimately allow us to offer a much higher level of service and support to our customers, and give us the practical space we required to accommodate our expanded service and engineering teams.

In the winter of 1990, we wanted to provide our products and services to a growing industry throughout Ontario, Canada. In order to offer a local presence we expanded our company to London, Ontario.  Those were very exciting times and we were constantly challenged with offering our customers the best possible solutions, while building a core team of highly skilled professionals who possessed a clear vision.

In the fall of 1993 personal computers made their presence in our industry, which was once dominated by specialized hardware, specifically in the Post Production and Broadcast areas. Having built an extremely well respected name in the industry, we were approached by a manufacturer of computer based video editing software, which single-handedly transformed our industry to where it is today. That company was AVID Technology. Back then recording and playback of video and audio from a computer was unheard of, and companies like AVID radically changed the way our industry worked. AVID relied on us to get their message out and very quickly it grew into an incredible relationship that continues on, to this day.

To round out our service and support infrastructure in Ontario we opened our third regional office in the Nations Capital of Ottawa in 1997. This additional local presence gave us a much higher-level support for our Government accounts and our growing Corporate and Broadcast customer base. Expansion plans were well under way back in Richmond Hill, when we doubled our facility capacity to accommodate the increase in our support staff along with our new Technology Center, showcasing our many products and services. This new capability allowed us the opportunity to present turnkey systems to our customers in an environment that was more comfortable to their surroundings. Over 7000 square feet was added strictly for demonstrating and showcasing our many valued partners and product offerings for all the Corporate, Production, Post-Production and Broadcast marketplaces.

In 1999 we successfully installed the very first Hi-Definition post production facility here in Toronto, for a leading film and television customer. That same year we installed one of the first digital cinema systems in collaboration with a leading motion picture exhibitor. As we entered into the new millennium, we secured a strong foothold in the post production, and broadcast marketplaces. We continued the momentum of delivering Hi Definition solutions to most of the major facilities here in Ontario.

Over the years we have continued to play an important role in the Professional Video Marketplace, and would never have imagined we would be where we are today if it was not for our valued customers, and the leading partners we represent. After 20 years of providing the best possible service and support Dynamix continues to set new standards and expectations while we continue to look towards the future.
